Abhijit Bhave is a seasoned financial services leader with over three decades of experience across private banking, wealth management, corporate banking, and asset management. In his most recent role as Managing Director and CEO of Equirus Wealth Private Limited, he was instrumental in driving the firm’s strategic vision, with a strong emphasis on client-centric value creation, leveraging WealthTech solutions and delivering sustainable growth.
Abhijit is a well-regarded thought leader and speaker, frequently invited to share insights on wealth management, digital transformation, product innovation, and leadership development at industry forums and conferences.
His career spans prominent institutions including Deutsche Bank, HSBC, ICICI Bank, UTI, and Karvy Private Wealth. He has successfully launched and scaled wealth management ventures both in India and internationally. Notably, at Fisdom Private Wealth, he served as CEO & led the expansion efforts of the firm’s presence in emerging markets, establishing it as a trusted brand among clients. Earlier, as CEO of Karvy Private Wealth, he redefined the company’s market positioning through innovative investment offerings and digital enablement, across India & UAE.
Abhijit’s earlier tenures at Deutsche Bank and HSBC lasted seven years each, where he managed multiple wealth management portfolios across regional and national levels. He also led international assignments, including co-heading the relaunch of Habubank’s wealth management business in Vietnam—an investee company of Deutsche Bank.
Abhijit holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing and Finance from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from VJTI, Mumbai. He has authored several thought pieces on wealth management and has been recognized with awards from leading industry bodies and publications.
Outside of his professional life, Abhijit is passionate about travel, music, reading, and writing, and enjoys spending time with his family.
